GRRR help please! Throttle cable came but it dosn't fit!

Throttle cable came from TVR Car Parts today, it looks lovely but it won't fit! It is totally different from the one I had on there, think the other was Motorcraft Part and this is a nice one (which cost enough). Really confused. Will pictures help? There isn't enough slack in the cable, and I don't see how it can fit onto the throttle body. Any ideas pleeeeeeaaaaaase?

Hi Lukas, some pictures would definatley help even if it is just to confirm it is the wrong one, which part of it will not fit ? is it where the cable fixes to the mounting bracket or where it fixes to the linkage assembly itself?
When I got my car it came with a spare universal type of throttle cable kit, all I did was to use the end of it where it attaches to the linkage assembly then went to Halfrauds and got a stainless steel bike brake cable and threaded that through from the footwell and it works a treat !

Too dark now for pictures, I'll take some 2moz. The old cable had a plastic bolt thing that went through a threaded plastic bracket. This held it in place as it connected to the throttle linkage in a different way to the new one.
The old one was connected to the linkage, not at the end of the linkage but in the middle via a seperate hole, held on by a small bolt.
New one looks like it hooks on the the end bit which is a little bump. All well and good, but this goes on but then it won't go where the mount is.
The mount went through a threaded plastic bracket but how on earth do you pass it through this bracket? I tried drilling it out but then the washers on the new bolt will not go through anyway. I've offered the new cable up to where it should sit, even attempt to connect it on where the plastic nylon? bracket should go but in this way the throttle is open about half way have no more slack to give it then attached to the pedal, because the pedal is on the floor.
Does this made sense?

It looks to me like you poke the cable through the hole where the green arrow is. The threaded part at the green arrow is removable, you slide the white plastic up and the black bit falls on the floor, never to be seen again. This should allow you to get thenuts either side of the remaining hole.
The end connects over the 'ball' shape where the blue arrow is. Any difference in length is taken out with the adjustment on the threads.
For the ball fitting, there's a sliding collar which is taken off, the cup goes over the ball and then the collar is slid back on.
I have a 'hybrid' version on mine and I drilled a hole in the cable end connection and put the bolt through that. Seems to work well. Wouldn't do that with a shiney new cable though.

I have to say I tend to agree with mikee boy I think it will fit with a bit of fettling, although I if I had just paid £50 for it I would expect it to go straight on without any messing about, and sorry to say this but better pictures taken in daylight might clarify things further.
