looking at the bilbe last night, i noticed in the rundown on extras, it says that heated seats were offered. Has anyone had them speced them from new?

Not on mine.

I would like to have cooled seats rather than heated, leather is a bit on the sweaty side. (perhaps it's just me )

I've got heated seats.

They're black vinyl and red hot in the summer / freezing cold in the winter!

Nope, not in mine.

But then again I wouldn't fancy TVR electrics that close to any 'critical' parts of my anatomy anyway.

Not in mine....

But I'm sure if an 'S' had heated seats fitted they would have packed up the first sign of cold weather.

Like most things electrical on an 'S' if it is not totally necessary then it stops working or the owner has stripped it from the car.

Where would they have put the buttons anyway??

Seen the headlamp wash!

We had a visitor to the Mid-Essex meet last month... red S, with headlamp washers... and black door handles and a black fuel filler cap!

I've got the headlight washers on mine - check my profile for a pic. They're not connected mind. Don't think the water pump would powerful enough to drive them anyway - does a shabby enough job on the windscreen !

Hi Guys,

I speced heated seats on my first V8S. Contrary to popular belief they worked very well but were digital....i.e. the thermostat warmed them up until they cooked your ass then switched them off and they cooled down then on again and the cycle started again. Not stable heating a-la Merc or BMW but very useful in winter, with the roof off (is there any other way!!!)with our excuse for a heater. Can't remember where the switch was in the S. Adrian, who now owns my old S, should be able to tell you. On the Chimp it is on the side of the steering column.

I know I haven't got them as there were no wires when I took the seats out last year. Shame really, as they'd be a bonus for the bits of the winter driving when you're moving i.e. when the heater's totally ineffective!

the switch is a round knob type thing

That Knob controls my dash illumination settings - Are you sure that the warmth is not coming from the bulbs...?
