Checked fuel consumption on last tank of petrol and found had dropped sharply from mid 20's to 17mpg without having changed use pattern ( daily to work in Brum, blast at weekend etc etc)

Then noticed y/day that odometer seemed to be "sticking" - hasn't stopped working completely but normal 23 mile drive home from work only registered about 14 miles.

Speedo reading seems fine - so as Bible says it works electronically, does this suggest that odometer is knackered or just needs a good clean?

Anybody had this sort of problem / know where can get speedo / know anyone who reconditions them / how to test what root of problem is.......

Thanks, Guys, although I'm not sure whether I've got the right problem - noticed this morning on way in that engine revs at idle were varying - maybe a problem with signal from gearbox sensor?

Mind, the speedo does seem to work OK
