Do anyone knows if it's possible to put 2.9 aluminium rocker covers on an old 2.8 motor.
In fact i have a pair of it in my garage and i'm wondering if i could make it polish to have a beautiful engine bay ????

thanks for advices

IIRC polished rocker covers for both 2.8 and 2.9 can be purchased from:

www.europaspares.com

they are not listed on their website, but were in the last catalogue I saw. Get their telephone number from the website and give them a ring

good luck.

I`m pretty sure that they are not interchangeable. Could be wrong though.

Burton Power do polished aluminium rocker covers for both the 2.8 and 2.9 engines.
2.8 p/n TV1500 £146 ex vat
2.9 p/n TV1501 £152 ex vat

Quite pricey. see links:-

It is not possible to fit the 2.9 aluminium rocker covers even on a 2.9 when it is fitted in an S the alternator is in the way.
