Welding

I've just discovered a (another) crack in the exhaust manifold. Its very easy to get to in on the car and my dad can weld it for me. The only thing is the electic can you get away with just disconect te battery, or do you need to unplug the ECU etc.

I know from experience that electronic devices do NOT like to be welded near. It is possible to weld something in place like that when the welder is earthed right next to where you are welding BUT if the earth isnt VERY good then the welding currunt can cause damage. I wouldnt risk it myself.
