5 years of Ownership - First Stutter

Took the car out yesterday.. Drove into London.. Great place roof off, Picadilly, Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square, Whitehall, Embankment etc.. Burble, Thrash, Burble, fantastic looks from Knightsbridge, no-one has ever seen an 'S' I'm sure.
BUT
Sitting in the traffic, slow,. slow, hot, hot... Fans cutting in - the 'S' started to run a bit ragged, tick over up / down. First I put it down to being very hot..
I Managed to find a Car Park around Bank area.. Left the car to cool all day.
Back to the car, 10pm, started, nice and cool, ran along the Embankment - still very sluggish at low rev's.
Roof off - Sounded great at higher revs.. London Lights all around.
I Heard a noise..! Not from My car but a Lovelly Blue Diablo behind..
Pulled up at the lights, roof off, his window down.. Fellow P/Header - Called out, seeing I was a pistonheader - Fantastic to see OUR little car making as much noise as a Dancing Donkey, We were invited to Sloane Square for a meet...
BUT
Couldn't make it as the car was running like a dog. I managed to limp back to Hampshire..
Thanks to this Forum and the posts.. I've assumed it'll be the TP..
Time to get the Cerbera or original Ford Throttle Pot as a reaplacement
In my 5 years of Ownership I really thought it'll be the first breakdown, suffering the fate of the breakdown truck..
Not to be.. Its in the garage, tucked up, waiting some TLC.. I LOVE MY 'S'

glad to hear you made it back.These little S's really are quite resilient. My first breakdown was also after 5 years of reliability, despite all the 'usual comments', in Germany (Zolder 2008) doing over 110mph trying to catch up my brother in his Tamora. Managed to limp back 150 miles to Dunkirk and only required low-loader from Dover. (turned out to be the water pump).
Hope it all gets sorted easily.
