Does anyone fancy taking off their (gear) knobs and comparing (thread) girth at some point.

Looking to check the size in order to upgrade my tacky plastic Ford knob with a shiny Leven one

(Have a let myself in for some Podie mischief here )

As far as I am told the thread is an old imperial one and the Leven gear knob will not fit! You could buy a Momo one which is about £35 or you could do what I did and contact a local machinist and have one made with a grub screw and that only costs £25. If you dont have any luck in your area my local machinist could do it for you I guess and I could send it to you!

Leven are working on S knobs now, as Podie has had a prototype one fitted I believe, but they are trying to establish the different threads that exist.

I'm workin with Simon from Leven on it at the moment and will report back...

Close, but no banana.

Simon regularly calls me in for a fitting though...

He's measured mine ( ) and Dangerous's too, and a few others. He's currently working on a "one fits all" solution.

Had a trial fitting of an underbonnet goody recently...

Alas not, family events happening, and the family don't fit too well in the S

Might see if I can make the Essex meet, as I've missed them for quite a while...
