Much to my relief, the car is running!! New fuel pump, starter motor solenoid and away she went. The new fuel pump cost LESS than the used item from a well-known TVR breaker.......The only downer is that now my oil pressure gauge doesn't work and the parcel shelf is under about an inch of water.....everytime I brake I get a soaking.

Best get that inside dried out or you'll be getting corrosion induced electrical problem this time next year. Well done for sorting the problems out.

Glad its all sorted Neil; as the new pump was decently priced and is OK it would be useful to know the part no and make and to put that on the parts list.
