Never rains but it pours?

Feels like honeymoon period over with - 3 months and 2,500 miles in in S3 and only needed to use roof twice.

After CV join and exhaust, lost a driving light the other day - it just fell out when I was driving at speed and couldn't stop.

Looking at arrangement, original Lucas lights have been replaced with 5.75" Hellas, which are actually headlight units (complete with space for sidelight bulb - gather they used to be a standard size unit in Japanese / American cars?) and held in (obviously not very well) with spring clips.

Tried locally to source original lights / phoned David Gerald and eventually got one factor to speak to Lucas - no stock and from what he said, no plans to make any more.

Anyone know where might get originals - would like to convert back as can't see better way of holding Hellas in place

If you want the cheaper option, buy some Ring foggies from Halfords. They fit perfectly, look the same (when you have peeled the "Ring" sticker off) and they are only £20! Cheers, Beeka

Thanks, Mark

Do I need original backing for Lucas lights for this option to work, as these have been removed?
