Sprint article on indicators
Discussion
Yes it was a good article Andy. Broken indicator lenses is an issue that all of us will come across sometime.
As to future articles can I suggest servicing? ( Unless it's seen as general car mechanics and not S specific enough)
Once again it's an issue that all of us are aware of and it is something that,to a greater or lesser degree, we can all tackle.
I know that for me it would be useful, also prehaps others who fancy a bit of tinkering but are not quite up to replacing a V6 engine with a V8 yet!
I've now mastered some of the basic stuff (fluids and filters) but things like valve tappet clearances are a dark art to me.
Cheers
Tim

Last month's article was intended to encourage people to have a go. As I said then, doing a specific artice on servicing is difficult: do you aim it at people who have never tried before, or do you aim it at relatively experienced people wanting to know the specifics of the S?As to future articles can I suggest servicing? Then on top of that, I don't want to encourage people to rush too fast beyond their experience (God I hope that's not too patronising!) and hurt themselves - both for my own liability and that of the Club. I have often had to recover a situation through experience, and you can't cover that in a wee article in a magazine.
I'm working on it though!
Plus TVRCC / SPRINT are very nervous about publishing on safety related items - everything seems to come down to liability nowadays doesn't it
Maybe we could do something like waterproofing your hood or something equally tame and unlikely to harm anyone - that may well get into print as it equally applies to other cars.

Chris don't get wound up - I'm working on it!

I want it to be interesting, relevant and helpful. TBH the article on indicators was just a bit of a "filler" - when I see it in the magazine it seems a bit "light" compared to some of the other stuff.
I'm going to try a servicing article after the new year I think.

Twas why I let my subscription lapse, but could be tempted to renew it if there are some practical articles on the S. Nice to have someone representing the S, writing for Sprint.
