Replaced the fuel gauge sender unit on Saturday. QUite and easy job even in my tiny drive way, actually took longer to back the car into the drive than fit the unit. Except the nice person who replaced the last sender unit, bed the lock ring metal on the tank so I had to re form the metal to ensure a good fit. I reckon it's ok, and I now know roughly how much fuel I have.

Nice one!

Did you happen to take any pics during the replacement process? Could be useful for future reference.

Roy.

No didn't manage to take any pics, but I can do, as I still have the old one in my too box, along with the lock ring and seal. Can also give a detailed explanation of how to do it. All I have to do is take the wheel off to get detailed pics of new install before it gets covered in dirt.

Anybody want this?

It'd definitely be useful, along with details of parts numbers, suppliers and costs.

Thanks, in anticipation!

No problem Richard, will try and take pics of the parts tonight. And will get the wheel off ASAP.

Not sure of the part number, but it's only available from TVR (has a little TVR printed on the inside). Lock ring and seal is the same as a classic mini.

Yes please...one of the many jobs to do is the fuel guage - and the speedo, tacho...are these common faults? I'm 1 week into S2 ownership and know NOTHING about TVR's
