Only the reserve, and only a couple of inches a fortnight.
Just keep an eye on it?

The reserve is actually the overflow !!
Check previous thread from around a month ago to check your pressure cap is on the right place.

Check for signs of a leak on the top of the swirl tank, might need to replace the cap.

For £15 from a main dealer its probably worth replacing both caps just to be sure, especially as the rubber seal ring on the pressure cap can perrish.
My overheating problems got a lot better after I changd mine.
The cap on the swirl pot is always iffy , I have an extra seal cut from an old inner tube that sits between the cap and the top of the swirl pot , no further probs .
I have a couple spare if any body wants one mail me via my profile.
The extra rubber seal is one approach and nothing wrong with it, but as an alternative you can lightly crimp the lugs on the cap so they clamp tighter, by squishing them with a pair of pliers.
Hi Craig,
I shouldn't worry about it, my overflow tank is all over the place, but the important bit (i.e the Swirl Tank) is always full.
It also depends on how much water you keep in the overflow tank, as it probably chucks out any excess and that seems to be anything over 1/4 full on mine.
Cheers t'other Craig
cheers craig. I'll stop panicking!
