My S3 drops to 0 when ideling warm.
I got a mechanic friend to put a test gauge on the engine which showed evrything was fine .The fault is a dodgy sender unit. [must get it sorted].
Suggest you try the same it will eliminate pressure sending/reading fault. Best of luck.
I have the same problem, starts fine, as soon as the car warms up, stops working. The sender unit IIRC is a TVR specific part, or so Hexham Horseless carriages tell me. It is about £35. But it's too cold to fit it at the moment with no garage. I'm just slucky I fitted the fuel sender unit. Which reminds me, must take pictures of it.
Personally I wouldn't worry too much, as if the oil was passing by worn bearings etc, the engine wouldn,t hold 25 psi at idle (which is perfectly normal).
Probably best to just pretend that the needle is at 70 psi when driving. I do this with my fuel gauge which makes me feel much better (p.s i'm getting 70 to the gallon now!!)
