Heights from the factory??????
Discussion
As you all may have read I am having new adjustable shocks fitted tomorrow
I know the garage and mechanics well but they are not experts on TVR
I need to tell them the original height from the floor to a certain point on the chassis both front and rear!
Dont suppose anyone can help??
...in a bit of a rush because the car is in at 7.45 tomorrow morning

Don't know if you will manage to get any readings for your model this late in the day. If it helps, here are the original measurements from my V8S:
Damper length at normal ride height 320mm front and rear. This puts the front damper top mounting bolts 445mm above the road (measured on the bolt centerline).
Usual caveats about your car being different to mine, especially since mine is a V8S, but I'm optimistic that these measurements will be the same. Having said that, get them to measure your car up before they start just in case.
Make sure the front damper open length doesn't exceed the droop limit of the front suspension (which will be roughly 360mm depending on camber settings) otherwise you'll strain the top ball joint at full droop.
Hope you like the new dampers,
Peter Humphries (and a green V8S)

I have just adjusted my suspension up about 25mm on the shocks to increase the ground clearance, to account for spring compaction. This results in about 37mm increase to ride height due to the suspension geometry. Both front and rear shocks are now approx 320mm between centres of the mounting bolts. Car looks about right, and it now goes down my driveway without scraping the exhaust
If you aim for 320mm on the shocks, then you won't be a million miles out. (my car is a 1989 S2)
