Discussion
Models are S1, S2, S3, S3c, S4c & V8S

(there may also be some S2c with cats, but I've never seen one).
S3c has cats and (usually) LSD & driving lamps.

Google search brings up :
In 1992 catalytic converters became compulsory on all new cars sold in Europe. The impact has been dramatic - in the UK alone, harmful road transport emissions have fallen by 45%. This figure is set to fall yet further as older cars are gradually replaced with newer ones which meet the higher EU emissions standards.
S3 became S3C - but TVR and many other smmal manufacturers got away with making and selling on cars after this time..
Mine was registered in September 1992, but is an S3.. most S3C's around are actually older..!
Then we had the S4C as well don't forget.

Just to confuse matters IIRC there were a small number of S2Cs as well (and S2 with a cat), and of course the S4C (a V8S with the V6 engined effectively).
Actually while I'm being a TVR geek, there was also another S-Series model. A very rare small capacity (2-litre?) supercharged V8 for the Italian market. Everybody thought it was a myth until somebody turned up on here with one recently!

Mine is a 1990 (May I think) S3C, cats were still on it when I got it (although they've "ahem" fallen off since)
Roy - I'm not sure that they usually did have an LSD - mine doesn't (I'm pretty sure) and it's shown on brochures that I have, as being an option, not standard. Maybe it became standard on the later ones? I don't know. Don't particularly care either TBH!

Aye, it was an RV8 sleeved down to 2 litres and supercharged for the Italian market (their tax laws were very cruel to cars over 2 litres!).Incidentally, the reason the bonnet was remodelled for the V8S was to accommodate the supercharger - that's why it's so high. They only made a handful though, and as you say, Carlo was here in the summer explaining he's had one since new (I think).

I'm not saying none of them did, just that I don't think it was standard (although it might have been on later ones).

Hell, it's a TVR

I had an S4 bonnet, but the earlier heater controls. Wooden wheel and gear knob from new, leccy aerial (drivers side), and the LSD.
