Approx numbers for S Club camping....?
Discussion
Hi,
In the other S Club thread running at the moment......
Because several people have already said they'd like to camp we'd like to get a rough idea of how much space we might need. Can everyone interested in camping add their names here please. This isn't being taken as a commitment, just an indication of numbers to help planning....
Thanks in advance,
Longers

I know that a couple of people have mentioned camping / accom and this is something that I'm working on. I hope to be travelling there myself Sat eve and think it'd be good for us all to stay in the same area? Gaydon themselves do have a camping area but they only open it up when there are at least 50 people using it. Cost I think is £10. When I last spoke to their events organiser just after Xmas he said it is possible there may be other groups there the day we are and, if viable, the campsite might be available if there is enough interest.
Gaydon also recommended so other local independent sites and I'm checking them out. Criteria for me are good site/facilities and within stumbling distance of a pub! When I've looked into it a bit more I'll post some more info...
I've clarified with Gaydon that the cost of using their site is £11 per head with a minimum spend of £550. I don't think we'll get that number wanting to camp so our local S Club Correspondent (aka Gerald TVR) has said he'll look at some alternative sites for us in the area. Thanks Norman Gaydon also recommended so other local independent sites and I'm checking them out. Criteria for me are good site/facilities and within stumbling distance of a pub! Thanks for the replies everyone. Looks like it could be a good night on the Saturday
My only hope is that the weather is better than it was the first time I went to S Club, camped and met Clive F & Steve J at Sillystone - it was [clarkson voice on] biblically wet [clarkson voice off] !!
