Any idea what these parts are? They were in my box of bits. The long aluminium piece is about 2 foot long.

I can't help with the short one but the long bit looks similar to a plate which is on my S3C at the rear underneath across the car above the exhaust. Not a good description and I've no idea what its for .. but hope it helps.

As Jimed says the long one is definatley the "tray" just under the exhausts that only purpose seems to stop crud getting between the chassis and the body?

The short one is the plate that secures the gearbox mount to the chassis (prop end). Two bolts through the larger surface secure the gearbox mount to the plate, you should have two spacers approx. 10mm. four bolts go through the corners and bolt into the chassis.

Hope this makes sense ?

I thought it was meant to trap crud there, but whatever its purpose, that's what it is.

I don't think it is this - certainly if it is then its not the same as mine as mine has a 15-20mm circlular hole through which you can put a socket to tighten and loosen the bolt that secures the gearbox to the mount

Although the "plate" we are talking about has been removed the bolt to which I refer and the mount attached to the gearbox is here

There is one of those in the box too but the rubber is split so I need a new one. Are they available new?
The shorter channel piece has got 4 holes as discribed by Mr Plow 1 in each corner!

Try this item on Ebay no. 120373024014

The two holes shown on the item will line up with the holes in your metal plate.

The plate goes on with the side you have showing facing the ground. The metal spacers I mentioned go between the holes on the mount and the plate. If these aren't used you are in danger of doing up the two bolts too tightly and bending the metal plate.

Edited to say, don't purchase the Granada gearbox mount, it is a different size, but looks the same in pictures.
