That makes an interesting change from the usual TVR handbrake that has trouble staying on even when you want it to. biggrin

Hi Norman.
Go on then how much is then, Had a hard day at the car, we have all the bits off and all the bolts out ready to lift the body off, I am going to use the corsa EPS steering unit with the rally controls, put 2 picks on flickr

Have a spare dash so I have been a bit creative with the fiberglass today. If it works out there is a free dash and heater up for grabs, dash is a bit tatty so will nee recovering but the heater is fine I think.

Alan I don't know if you've seen the front bar arrangement on the V8 but it might be worth doing the same with yours while you can swing the hacksaw without the engine in.
The bolt in beam has tube welded inside where the bolts go through so it can be bolted in very tight without it crushing. The ends of the square tube then have a piece of metal welded over the end.

Hi Chris.
Yes I have a pic of the same shot, from your build I think, I noticed there is a also few extra supports in there as well.

I haven't studied the differences in detail but the V8S chassis is beefed up compared to the V6.

There's an additional vertical tube on the chassis near the inboard seatbelt mount, I don't think it would be to hard to add. See below.

Hi Chris
My son the welder has been looking at all sorts of pic's, he has said they look a bit thin ( he builds off road landrovers.
He is sorting out some tube this week and all being well we will see if the engine fits and what we need to re fab to make it fit
