hi,
just had a good look at my car.
the chassis, ie out riggers are rusty but very solid in the usual prob areas, trailing arms same, the seat belt anchor point by rear wheel same.

this is an 88' car which makes me think, ive got a good 1.
maybe it was well looked after for the first 10 years, (ie no wet days)
so the car only has Ltd wet abuse.

i'm doing breaks, interior, extrior, usual tart up stuff, ive had the car for about 4 yrs, stored under a tree, ( yes im a muppet )

what i ask from you guys is a list of what you think it needs to pass MOT.

ie, bushes, gaters, other things that die just because the car has been
left for ages

many thanks johnny

Impossible to say, *anything* could have gone in that time.

I'd suggestion refurbing the brakes and a close examination of all fuel and brake hoses, in fact given the age I'd be inclined to replace the fuel hoses as a matter of principle unless you know they've been done in the last couple of years. Usual pre-MOT check of lights, washers, horn etc and then get it tested and see what it fails on. That'll give you your snag list to sort which should get you through the next MOT.

I'd get it tested and take it from there
