Sorry but yet another question about my recently purchased S2, when I turn the ignition on the oil gauge moves up to around the 40 mark then when I start the car from cold it goes up to 70 ish then once warmed up and half an hour into a drive out it's then Reading around the 90 mark, has anyone else had this happen to them or have any idea what the problem can be? My speedo jumps 30 mph when I turn my lights on but I have read that this is a qwerk of the TVR's electrics. Thanks once again for any answers.

This sounds like poor earths on putting my body back on mine did this and the alarm went crazy until I cleaned them up - clean up all four (battery to chassis, body (loom) to chassis on cross brace behind each wheel and gearbox to chassis by gearbox mount)

If its not this then could be the dreaded yellow connector yikes see here

Thank's Mark, I will remove the oil pressure gauge from the dash and diconnect the earth and then run a new piece of wire from the gauge to a known good earth and if this sorts it I will then have a go at cleaning all the earths as you have suggested.

Just tested the oil pressure gauge by removing the connector from the oil pressure sender unit then turned the ignition on and the gauge stayed on zero then I earthed the spade connector and the gauge went to 100 so it looks like the oil sender unit is at fault.
