My S2 is descibed as Midnight blue metalic (from sxcolor.info) with paint code P422/A576B. Cars Body code is P422-A576. Have checked the paint code threads but do not see this colour listed. Have been told its Jaguar moonstone blue!!!!, but not convinced. Any ideas where to source paint.
Thanks Graham

Your colour appears on the paint code list (its in general TVR Stuff & gossip) but there is no more info than you already have.

PM Malcolm Ashworth (PH Potato Muncher) he supplied me with most of the info that I posted, he will probably be able to point you in the right direction. He used to be a sprayer in the TVR factory.

Have you tried Halfrauds? They had mine and it was perfect.

You need to be sure your car has not already been resprayed too as your code might say one colour but the respray might not have been a perfect match, so if you are touching up, it will not look right... maybe thats why you are unconvinced ?

K wink

Having been quoted £75.00 for matching paint on Bristol for 1/2 litre, from a realy obnoxious guy, decided to do more reserch. Found local supplier for £9.95 for 1/4 litre. He can mix all TVR colours post 1980 including 'halcyon' colours. Company is based next to the old Gilbern factory in Wales. Not sure how to pass details without breaching rules. The paint supplied was a perfect match together with laquer.

Hi Graham

I dont believe its breaking the rules to recommend anyone its just a no-no if theres commercial gain ie advertising yourself or your naming and shaming

I'd just add him in the "useful links" section (either website or address/telephone) or in the "paint code section" on the "general TVR discussion" forum. I would agree I on't think it would break rules otherwise the mods would have taken down the usefull link section at the top of this page - and thank goodness they don't it is so useful
