Anyone know the piston bore/diameter on a standard V6 slave cylinder. have heard that fitting a smaller bore makes clutch action little more "gentle".
Would guess standard item is not TVR unique, any ideas what it is common too ?

Sorry, I don't know what the diameter is supposed to be. However, I don't think a smaller slave will make the clutch more gentle: It will reduce the 'lever' of the hydraulic system, thus making the pedal heavier, and the clutch will bite more abrupt. The stroke of the clutch release arm will be longer, but the stroke only needs to be long enough to free the clutch. A smaller master cylinder however, will give the opposite effect, with the risk of the clutch not disengaging because of the smaller stroke of the release arm.

Mmmmmm ! thought this over a bit and tend to agree with you, maybe it should be a smaller master cylinder which would mean clutch pedal coming up further before clutch begins to engage or "bite" ? But, as you say, would this give enough movement to fully dis-engage clutch in the first place.
Perhaps I should stop being a wimp and just get used to it, although original advice did come from reputable TVR garage.
