Hi again everyone 
Sorry it's been a while since any info was circulated but we have been busy behind the scenes, honest!
Where The Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon, Wark's

When Sunday 7th June, 10.00-16.00.
Cost Free access to S Club and TVR parking area for any TVR. Entry to the museum building itself is £7 rather than normal £9 if you can prove you are with S Club.
Charity
This year we will be supporting Steps, the charity for children with lower limb abnormalities. You can find more information here www.steps-charity.org.uk. This charity has been chosen because it is actively supported by Harvey Bootland, a V8S owner, and his family. Being a smaller charity it's always in need of funds so hopefully we can help to raise some money on the day through our raffle....

Camping and Hotels
Because there were lots of people previously interested in camping http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... GeraldTVR (aka Norman!) who is local to Gaydon kindly found us this campsite and has provisionally booked 20 places http://www.holtfarm.fslife.co.uk/ Their phone number is 01926 812225 and the lady in charge is called Angie Adkins.
It's only 6 miles from Gaydon, costs £5 per night per adult, has toilets/showers etc (but no electrical hook ups) and there is a pub 15/20 mins walk along the canal called The Folly, The Locks Folly Lane, Napton, CV47 8NZ.
Norman has let me know there are four Holt farms almost next to each other and the sat nav will take people to the wrong one. The lat/long for the actual farm is N52.23047 W1.33549.
Also if you come from Napton on the Hill towards the farm you will have to negotiate quite a steep canal bridge and Norman suggests proceeding with caution!
Finally, do NOT to attempt to drive to the Folly Arms, there’s a very sharp/steep canal bridge just before the pub and Norman thinks an S might get stuck there. So, bring your torches and walk back along the tow path - just be careful not to fall in the canal....
Nobody has so far said they would like to stay in a hotel, but if you do there are plenty in the area. Please get in touch if you need any help.
Competitions
As last year on the day we will let everyone vote for their favourite S1/1.5, 2, 3/4 and V8S. Hopefully this year the wind will not be quite so strong and it'll be easier to hold onto your voting slips!
We will also have the usual competition for the loudest cars. However, for this to happen we need one vital piece of equipment apart from the cars - a noise meter! If you can bring one with you please let us know asap!!
Sadly we will not be able to repeat last years karting challenge. Gaydon does have a kart track but they have informed me it is too tight for actual racing and they do not have any timing equipment. However the track will be available for individuals to use on the day (fee payable).
Scenic Drive
Members of the WWM TVRCC will be joining us on the day and are kindly planning us a 30-35 min route around the area.

For as long as I can remember each S Club has had a shirt to mark the occasion. This year we will be trying something different and I'm in touch with a couple of suppliers. More details will follow in due course.......

Something people often ask for is more trade stands at S Club. However the S population is relatively small in TVR circles and it must obviously be cost effective for any trader to attend. Because of the venue this year we are expecting a high turnout of "non S" models and I have also negotiated a special low rate with Gaydon for any traders that wish to attend. As a result several traders are considering it

Can I put forward an idea for an event for SCH 09?
I like to call it 'Diagnose the S'.
As mine is unlikely to be MOT'd before June with my current series of unfortunate events, I think everybody with a problem should leave their cars in a designated area and then let other people try and identify the issue.
Prizes for the winner and an on-site MOT station so I can drive it home.........No? I can dream can't I?

We decided to "unsticky" it for the timebeing. Experience with last years updates showed that a lot of people didn't notice the stickied threads, instead they automatically went straight to the new ones underneath (as I do myself sometimes when on auto pilot!!)

The camping booking is a provisional booking and I have reserved 20 places - we will need to confirm numbers etc closer to the date, I would suggest we do that centrally rather than each ringing seperatly
BTW W(est) can be expressed as a minus in the UK, E(ast) normally doesnt carry a sign but could be expressed +
ETA Folly Arms does do food - had a bacon sarnie there Ok but not cheap. I think its the only one in walking (staggering) distance of the camp site. Along the canal so there might be a few spare cars the following morning
