The throttle cable gave way on me on Sunday. That day is a story in itself.SWMBO was onboard.Second Outing.
Contacted TVR parts, for a replacement talked to Neil.He has asked me to send the old throttle cable to him.He tells me that a recent buyer of the said cables, thinks the outer sleeve is to long, therefore not allowing full throttle.

Has anyone had problems with the TVR spare.

Neil tels me he has sold 40 with no problems.

yep, i had probs with mine. It is JUST long enough, it looks nice and chunky, and well made, but the other problem was that the throttle stuck open!!yikes

So then i had to oil the cable, which isn't what i want, it has sorted it, but it does stick occasionally.

the spare i carry is the ford part F6720349, this was after a failure on a sunday drive, the nice bloke who came to help out fed new steel wire through the existing outer and fitted new ends to connect up. as the repair is still in place and working i've never got round to changing, but the spare is peace of mind.
