I want to get my chrome around the headlight 'rechromed' (This is not the rim around the headlamp that comes off a Mini).
I bought a replacement headlamo unit from TVR parts but it appears to be plastic for some reason.

Anyone know if I can get another headlamp or mine rechromed somewhere?

Do you mean the "decorative" outer ring (the bit you can see) or the ring behind with 3 screws that holds the lamp unit into the backing shell ?
Either should be commonly available from any MG, Triumph, Mini classic parts supplier, or a scrap yard ! !

Just replaced my headlamp bowls and rims

dont forget you need little brackets on the rims, old rim below

The chrome bit holding the headlight into the bowl is probably unique certainly I couldnt swap the new ones onto the old bowls so the connectors had to be removed from the headlight wiring so I took the opportunity to replace connectors with waterproof one

No its not the outer rim (have two of these as well) Its the rim holding the bowl into place...
Can I get it rechromed or replaced or should I just get two new headlamps (re previous thread on here to upgrade lights)?

Probably just as cost effective in the end...

Hi Norman,
Car already had one!
Didn't check first but to me it looks like it is the same.
So now I have a spare!

Mark,

I assume this part you are talking about is the throttle linkage plate? If so do you want to sell/swap your spare modified one (I assume it is one with the straight slot)
