Electric Mirrors

I saw a car(S2) on David Geralds Website with electric mirrors. After 1 month of ownership of my S2, my biggest beef is the side mirrors. How the hell do you see out of them? I have seen 1 car and heard of 1 car with electric mirrors. PLEASE tell me more.

My S2 has always had electric mirrors, I believe they were an optional extra when the car was new (as the electric windows and ariel were). All work fine.
Probably tricky to fit electric ones even if you could source them, the operating switch is on the bulkhead next to the ashtray and cigarette lighter.
Not sure where they originally came from, thought it was a CX but apparently not so as I would like to replace the mirrors. Someone mentioned they could be Sierra.

Some S's were fitted with a metal electric mirror which i have seen on some London Taxi's as well as Esprits and scimitars. The other type is the plastic citroen cx type, these i think will be a pig to fit.

Well if it is off a citroen cx I'm out of luck. We don't get those here. I will take the picture I have to the Lotus Shop and see if they have something.
