Braided brake pipes
Discussion
Has anybody fitted the Goodridge braided brake pipes for the V8S/S4. I would like to check the lengths in the pack and confirm if there are 6 or 8 pipes in the set. I have phoned Goodridge and they got me to email the factory (twice), but they do not respond. So has anyone bought these? any problems?

Note that the HEL ones are just 4 lines. I emailed them in the past and they confirmed that the ad is correct and you only get the 4 lines where as my S3 has 6 - 2 each side at the front and one each side at the rear. They said that they would make them up as a set of 6 if they were supplied the lengths and fittings but I couldn't be bothered to follow it up.Jed-S said:

The hose is running from the brake pipe through a grommet in the knuckle to the caliper. Original TVR mod or updated by previous owner ???

I have got a set of the Goodridge 8 brake hoses for a V8S/SC4 only thing is I think the longest pipes which go between the front strut and chassis should have bulkhead fittings both ends, but they have been supplied with one end short thread and washer (caliper fitting). Can anyone confirm this is wrong I don't have the original to check against. 2 of the shorter pipes which I think should have the caliper fitting infact have bulkhead unions (longer thread and lock nut). So I think they have made a mistake in the factory. Nothing is easy.

Sorry Tony I don't think I replied to your email about this did I?
I have to say I've stared at those pipes a while and my conclusion is - I don't get it!
I've tried to think of every permutation in my head and I can't make it work.
I have seen braided hoses on the front which run directly from the caliper to the pipe union on the main chassis, but that way you'd only need 6 pipes.
I anticipated a lot of pain with that kit - which is why I went for new traditional black rubber pipes.
