Found this little chap on Ebay (originally from TR7)thought might make a handy boot light 
Mounted it with two M5 screws and nuts directly onto the nearside rear lamp bulb holder, wires soldered onto appropriate tracks (will only work with sidelights on,prevents leaving on by mistake)
Has its own switch built in, pivot forward or unclip from holder and on it comes
Not exactly a flood light but certainly bright enough to find something on a dark night !
