Looked in the boot and found two pieces of roof - which fit just right in the gap at the top of my car - much warmer now allthough I can't hear the engine so well

Just been having 'friendly' banter with the two in the office here who own Boxters. I think they were both unaware that they owned convertibles

...and they had the cheek to have a go at me for being bought gloves for Christmas

Roof? Whats a roof then?

I'd been vaguely playing with the idea of a lightweight collapsable roof. The panels living in my boot take up an awful lot of space, but I reckon a rigid frame along the fore and aft edges with a sort of cantilever arrangement to force canvas tight and allow it to collapse into a far smaller space might be an option that makes the S a better tourer. Problem I've been known to have is that if away for a while, I've so much stuff stored in and around the boot, that when the heavens open, I get extremely wet unpacking and repacking the boot..
