I took the S out for a ride yesterday and noticed a new problem, when you hold her at between 2000-4000 rpm in any gear, she will cut out for a split second. There is no problem starting and if you are accelerating she won't do it. I've always noticed a hesitant slightly rough tickover but can't do anything about it as my garage doesn't have the diagnostics for a v6 of this age.
Has any one had this before? confused

Have you checked / sorted the yellow connector in the steering column?

Also check the condition of the multiway connector that takes all the signals to/from the injectors, ISCV and TP. This is located in the "V" just above the offside rocker box. Unfortunately it can give bad connections whilst looking good from the outside. Really need to separate it and look at the condition of the pins/sockets and check that the crimping is good.

I ended up by-passing it for the TP connections and that solved a problem similar to yours.

I agree, that multi plug is a nightmare. I bypassed mine permanently with solder connections and heat shrink. That sorted out rough running when the engine was cold.

Hi, Thanks for all the replies, the yellow connector is already mended but i will check the multi point connector between the V's.
Does anyone know of a way of setting up the afm's?

This happened on my car for the first 6 months. (rough running when hot)
Took it to a decent garage who cleaned up all the pins/connections and the car has gone like a dream since.

PS. Love the picture on your profile Dean !
