I've noticed my bonnet cannot stay down for more than 20 seconds when driving on the passenger side which is very annoying. I have noticed the catch in the bulkhead on the passenger side isn't closing in enough, I'm wondering if a spring is worn inside it. Can any body with experience point me in the right direction? Thanks

It probably needs cleaning and greasing.

Also check the front hinges make sure there's no excessive play in them.

I found that adjusting the big pin (secured by two bolts on the bonnet side) did the job.

Have you fitted the S/S hinges?

I would avoid driving on the passenger side smile makes it very difficult to reach the pedals

So does this mean your biggest worry is now getting the bonnet closed Lukas?
How's the engine?

The engine is good my friends. It's much better than before, very smooth! Taking her easy for 1000 miles.

Another problem is the throttle cable, my original broke, so I bought a replacement from TVR car parts and it didn't fit so need an original or something made to suit. Other than that, it's all good! (Save a little oil leak on one of the rocker covers) rolleyes

I have the bonnet problem but on the drivers side, and have had a new throttle cable, which did fit JUST! But then stuck open, but now this has been sorted buy greasing the cable.
