Not 100% sure if the thermo fans swich in my radiator is working.
I ran the car up to temp for a good while when I was filling the coolant system and the fan didn't kick in, shorted the connections to the switch and the fan worked fine.
I'll check it again at the weekend, what the best way?
Also what is the part number for a new one?
Thanks

Mike

Mike,
There are 2 types one is screw in fit and the other is compression - if you have a plate top and bottom with bolts either side then it is compression type.

I think part numbers are:

Compression type Rover Metro GVS 104

Screw in Intermotor 50110

If you have the screw in type then on mine it was a standard 22mm switch. These are available in various temperature ratings from someone like Car Builder Solutions ( http://www.cbsonline.co.uk/fans-206-c.asp ) and any other retro or kit car part supplier.
