Are 2.8 and 2.9 rocker covers the same..?

As title really, are the V6 2.8 and 2.9 rocker covers the same.. I want to buy some for my S3 (2.9) and bling them up while keeping the car on the road.

Well it saves my buying the wrong ones so yes it helps a lot..

I was thinking I may just get a complete spare 2.9 engine from a breakers.. so I have it for reference and also to break if I need spares.

Thats what I did, complete engine for £55 I think it was. Apart from giving me a whole host of spares it came with the "nicer" cast alloy fuel manifold rather than the tatty lokking pressed steel one currently on car.



Trip to Sand Blasters and everything looks sparkly new !

Nice one mate those parts look awesome.. Did you paint the manifold.?

No, rocker covers painted with touch up sprays but all alluminiun is "au natural"





Ps got my engine off Ebay, did have to go fair way to pick up ( and had bit of fun lifting into back of estate car )
