I haven't been brave enough to get anywhere near those speeds, but then again I haven't been near any private land where I could actually achieve them. I'm always worried i'm going to sneeze and shoot off across 3 lanes when I'm on the motorway, steering is so sharp!
My speedo accuracy on the other hand is better than any other car I have driven. Up to 60 (I haven't bothered looking at any higher speeds) the needle is bang on the GPS speed. Probably depends on the car though knowing TVR.

what revs are you topping out at?
Are you seriuosly expecting an answer..?Point 1. Would anybody drive their S at topping out speed.
Point 2. Who would take their eyes off the road to look, whilst correcting impromptu lane changes.
Point 3. Be able to register the needle position on the speedo (max, mid point or minimum position)
Point 4. Have a car with both Rev counter and Speedo working in unison

any one know what top speed the S will do?
need to know what size tyres and diff ratio and rpm
Just out of curiosity, why do you need to know all that?need to know what size tyres and diff ratio and rpm
(I guess you're trying to get figures to plug into a simulator, but I'd have thought that knowing the rpm and speed would remove the need to know anything else about the drive line.)
maybe
point 1: some may do it for curiousity
point 2: only on a very long straight road and no traffic (abroad - or track)
point 3: peripheral vision or a quick glance (or get your passenger to look) - no need to stare
point 4: ok ok its a Tiv - point taken

I am preparing the Tiv for tarmac rallying . I'm looking to fit a higher ratio diff to gain acceleration at the expence of useless excess top speed (if it has any) - looking at a 4.1:1 or 4.3:1 from a 2.0 Scorpio - but also looking at larger wheel dia. (would be happy with 120+ ish top at 6500rpm - just need some info on gearing)

Sounds like fun. From the sound of it you'll be gearing it down so it'll be rev limited in top, so I would have thought it's just up to you to choose the gearing and diff ratios. Surely whatever (rev-limited) top speed you want will depend on the terrain you find on tarmac rallies. Say you think 120mph is realistic, then you should be able to calculate what gearing you need to achieve that given your engine rev limit and tyre size. 5th gear is 0.82 ratio I think, coupled to whatever your diff is.
However, be aware that even with the standard gearing, first gear is very short. If you go with a bigger crownwheel in the diff, you will probably never need 1st gear again (unless you are getting CR box).

You can purchase for not an unreasonable sum a part exchange gearbox from a company called BGH gearboxes or similar, where they alter and even uprate type 9 gearboxes with taller first gears. From memory there are three different upgrades based upon the power you are looking for the gearbox to cope with.
My BOA engined S1 managed 5800rpm without any problems (other than the roof blowing off at about 110mph, until I taped it down) into a 30-40mph head wind at last years Marham track day. It could have gone faster, but it is a long straight, and I do not get too much pleasure ragging the engine for the hell of it. Anyhow, the car has an LSD from a 4x4 2.9 Sierra. I am not quite sure what the ratio is but the final drive is at least 25mph/1000 rpm, so thats 145mph, and I have no doubt it would have done 150mph....got there fairly quickly, but nothing like as quick as GreenV8S however. Felt perfectly stable aswell, luckily!
You think you`re going fast at these events, until some bright spark in an Ultima blasts past at 200mph!!
