oops, superglue on paintwork

We've all had our clown moments!!!
Strange solution, but try your local hospital. They have super-glue remover in case little Billy super-glues himself to the kitchen table so they might be able to help our for a 'small fee'!
Incidently, I think super-glue might bio-degrade as it was originally developed for soldiers as a substitute for stitches in cuts. I can just imagine some poor soldier not able to put his gun down!

everyone, including halford 'idiot-assist' recommend hot soapy water. never come across that stuff before, but I'll give it a go ![]()
cheers dears. can't believe I'm the only person who's done this. Confess, it's liberating.
Amazingly enough most superglues don't like hot water

Super glue does dissolve, eventually. May leave a makr though.
Yep, I now need to go over my window with solvents to remove some Thompsons that have dripped down them. Also some went down the rear, just above the arch.
With Renovo (which is probably the same as Thompsons) - elbow grease and damp scrunched up newspaper did a good job of the windows. Don't try it on the bodywork though - leaves newsprint all over it !

Hi Craig , Craig here,
I reckon that a good razor blade style scraper will do the trick, as the glue should not penetrate the paint, and tends to come off quite cleanly.
Also I have seen how shiny that blue paint is on yours, the layers of polish should aid the removal well.
Cheers t'other Craig
