Removing front indicators

Probably already been covered in the past, but just for a change the search option isn't working

I'm going to replace the indicators lenses with the Kia ones, but how do you separate the lens from the bulb holder part. I'm trying it an old complete unit I have and cannot work it out, and trying to force it would risk breaking the lens.

If the orange lens is broke the just pry it off with a blunt screwdriver type tool.

If you want to keep the orange part, (if it's in good condition) DONT DO IT....

It will more than likely break. The black part is tougher than the RARE orange

Johnny's right - I used an old butter knife (well maybe it was a fish knife, I dunno, I've only just learned not to eat with my fingers) and prised the two bits apart.

Fortunately, you have to remember, these were assembled by British Leyland in their heyday, so they tend to join where they touch anyway, using the bare minimum of glue, so it doesn't take much to get them apart.
