S seat width

Hi guys,

Could I ask a quick favour. Could somebody let me know the width of the S seats and also the width from the gearbox tunnel to the door.
Reason is I've bought some after market seats off flea-bay and I stupidly neglected to ask the dimensions before buying it. My S is currently in storage 200 mile away so I have no way of checking to see if they will fit.

Any help would be appreciated,

I'm pretty sure 19 inches wide springs to mind, as I had to measure before I bought the XJS seats. I don't have the original seats anymore.
What seats have you bought?

I've got mine here, it's 18.5" wide at the widest point of the back.

ETA:

Internal width from the tunnel to the armrest is 21" (20" on the driver's side because of the handbrake), the seat will probably be lower than the armrest in which case you'll have about an extra 1" to play with. The steering wheel is not central - it's only about 9" from the centreline of the wheel to the driver's armrest. The side of the cockpit is more or less vertical until you get about 24" above the floor, so you've got similar space to fit the back of the seat into. Basically there's tons of space (the S series cockpit is quite wide compared to other models) but the wider the seat the more trouble you'll have getting it lined up with the steering wheel and pedals.

I've ask the guy for the dimensions but I've found a similar looking set on the internet that look slightly wider, so I hope to God they fit.
