Gutted, Any project cars out there?

Sometimes you have to laugh to get through it!

Sold my S last month after 6 months hard work to get it sorted.
The plan was to move on up and get a Chimeara, I looked a few and found a lovely 500 just in my price. Unfortunately due to my divorce I had to get the morgage changed over,guess what the computer said no! As I can't afford my morgage (apparantly!!), you need to pay off a lump sum, bugger there goes my TVR money.
So I'm left without a toy car at all!

Then I watched wheeler dealers on youtube and felt really miserable!

So if anyone has a project like the one that came up for peanuts last week, keep me in mind, I'm virtually a charity now! As I can weld and happy to a partial lift there must be a bargain out there somewhere.

Get yourself a copy of classics weekly, whole page of 'Project cars' and 'cars under £1k' there was even a Chimaera in last week for £3K. Some other very interesting stuff to, eg '72 MGBGT only 23,000 miles, 2 owners, needs recommisioning, £600, MX5 for resto £500, Nice looking Mk2 cortina GT £995. Porsche 944 £1595 etc. Depends what you're looking for but worth a read, just don't dwell in the sports car pages. Keep your chin up.

I'm not too down.. compared to others who have had to sell their cars.
Have been offerd an Mx5 project but it really doesn't tick the boxes.
Would prefer another S.
There is a project on the classified's but looks a little pricey for what it is.

Mike, if you can weld and lift why not hire out your services to fellow owners that can't and build up your fund. If you were nearer and available I would certainly hire you (if the price was good of course!)

Like the idea, time will be the killer though, but happy to help anyone local.
I built a haynes roadster chassis from scratch and its looked great, but didn't do the repairs on my S so would like some practise first!
