Another V8S Body Off

Morning All,

Thought I'd (try to)post up a few pics of my body off experience and my findings underneath. MOT'd in April and done about 1,000 miles since then so it just goes to show what can be lurking out of sight.

Now I just have to decide on a coating. I think I am going Zinc Primer and then a black 2 pack lorry chassis paint which comes highly recommended from some coach builders I know

Should all be back together by February as I have to win a bet. Then I should have a V8S with a refurbed chassis and engine brakes clutch and suspension at sub 10k miles

I think you've done the body off at the right time - some corrosion but really nothing too horrifying. Keep the photos coming.

yes chassis did not look to bad but needed doing keep us all informed with photos etc

Cheers hvdweerden and yes that deadline seemed easy in November!

Will keep the pics coming now I know how to do it. Other than the outriggers there was only a couple of areas of grot that needed sorting out, including the removal of some strategically placed liquid metal

If I could just restrict myself to the chassis refurb it would be ok but then there's the "well while its in bits" upgrades that I can't help myself with.

It must be an omen though, Ive been toying with a colour change from Brooklands Green to a dark metallic blue and Barkychoc and Tinks post one after the other with that colour, decisions decisions...............

as far as the body colour i would not change it
as it came from the factory for me so much to change yes chassis colour and mods but not the body colour for me
