Have tried to contact you re earlier steering rack thread through the e-mail on your profile but seem to have failed. I'd be grateful if you could try and do the reverse and try and e-mail me.

Looks like I've lost the e-mail link to the site so if you've tried to contact me it's failed. Haven't had any success trying to find a steering rack so i'd be grateful if you could let me know if you have a spare rack that you'd be prepared to sell and if so what price. well since he knows all S owners are cheapskates maybe he should give it to you for free

well since he knows all S owners are cheapskates maybe he should give it to you for free
He probably wouldn't want to have his old steering rack sullied by being fitted to an S!

Maybe Chris could find a shiny lightweight plastic steering rack somewhere instead.

Fleeced or what? But at least by the time it's been down the road to be reconditioned it will be shiny and it will be aluminium. Thanks again Mr Pistolar.

all i have to do is get one of you cheapskates to buy the S2 chassis in my garden....Loads of Money

They are not that expensive new, and the fact that yours is second hand and it's in your garden can only serve to make it cheaper.
