Light covers..? Anyone ever make them.?
Discussion
Good Evening
I have been wondering for a while what the S would look like with some plastic light covers a little like the e-Type..?

To smooth the front a little..
Anyway does anyone know if such an item exists or if one from another car would fit.? I assume I would loose the chrome ring to make space.
Cheers

Hi All.
You could look at some of the GT40 kit cars, they use the same idea, parts may fit and the TVR is fiberglass same as the kit cars so a cut and glass in may do the trick.

Yes, they did...
Back in the days when I had an S I managed to procure some covers made from GRP to replace the chrome rings around the lights to create a smooth Griffith style pod. I was in the process of looking at covers for them to give the effect shown below when I sold the car.
I used to have some photos on Photobox, but I think that account has long since died.
EDIT - Found 'em...!

Having bought these I then started looking to see if someone could make a perspex cover for them. I think I sold them to Wildfire on here...

That S has a hard top, am I right? It looks suspiciously like an S on page 30 of the December 09 issue of Sprint....its got the same colours and everything!Back in the days when I had an S I managed to procure some covers made from GRP to replace the chrome rings around the lights to create a smooth Griffith style pod. Greetings Podie, one of my friends still calls me "no step" because of those yellow cowls. Long time no see. A Chimaera got in the way of getting them fitted and finished on the S
You still got that blue wedge, and an assortment of "work in progress"..?

Would still be fascinated to see a proper photo of an S3 with headlight covers. Yes the headlights are quite prominent on the S series - but the similar perspex covers on the Sebring MGC's always looked pretty good to me.
Incidentally, without being too pedantic, the OP's photo shows a Series 3 chrome-grilled E type with faired-in headlights, American legislation killed off these fairings after the Series 1 didn't they ????
