S2 are you still alive
Discussion
Sold my S2 TVR ??X in 1994 after 4 years of expensive repair bills. Strange how much we can forgive though. Would love to know if it is still around. Sold from Bishops Stortford to a chap from Essex, was Burgundy paintwork with cream interior and black roof, originally a 'G' plate car before I bought personal reg number for it. Any sightings out there? For some reason it always lent over a bit at the back which no garage could ever explain.
Hi Richard
Have a look at the RAC reg finder, this will tell you if it has changed hands since you sold it...

I think the RAC site is purely indicative rather than specific....
For RAC to have all information with respect to Manufacture and registration dates would be a pretty tall order. Most of that information is held on paper systems, which would require an awful lot of manpower input. When the registration or the vehicle was transfered would be easier IMHO, the data can be logged when it is available.

Just tried this on mine. It seems my S2 was made on New Years Eve 1989 .
Roy.
I wouldn't put any store on that.. It reckons mine was made the same day..
You are correct Mat, I checked an old car of mine which I picked up NEW in August 1989 and it says it was registered on 31st Dec 1989 too........!

I can confirm that said car TVR **x is still alive and kicking ! (kicking my wallet usually!!) Last time serviced by TVR guys at Motorvation, told me the car was in very good condition 'one of the better ones' were their very words.
So you must have looked after it in the early years !

but it appears anything over a couple years old is registered the last day of that year, hence the December confusion.
My company car which is more recent has the exact data but i guess when the system was automated they key in December of that year. Appears around 1999 is the break point for better accurracy judging by my wifes car details
cheers
