CV joints -

Hi folks,

I now have my refurbed trailing arm back (thanks Adrian) and its fitted to the car.

Before I reassemble the drve shaft how do I tell if the CV joints need replacing. I've dismantled them to their constituent parts and got the bearings out to degrease it all before putting some new grease back in. It all looks surprising unworn (no pitting etc).
Before I removed it from the car turning the drive shaft by hand revealed a few millimeters of play each way, is this normal?
