ARB Refurb Question

Evening all, I need some advice. I need to derust my Anti Roll Bar as it looks rubbish against the repainted chassis. Plan is to remove, derust and then paint it.

Question.... Can I simply unbolt it or is it under tension? Sorry if its a stupid question, I suppose if I undo it I may find out but thought it better to ask someone who knows. Second question is....when I refit it does it need a specified torque, and if so what is it. Or do I just make sure its tight. Thanks in advance.

No it's fine ~ just unbolt it.
You may want to think about new bushes and, prehaps, new drop links whilst you are at it.

Damon i know a guy who does blasting and powder coat at reasonable rates.
Did my fuel tank and frame.

No chance to reply in detail this morning. I will get the ARB off and decide which avenue to take. Alan when I get round to taking the tank off I may follow up the contact to blast and powder coat with you. Thanks again. Damon.
