Check out this one for sale. 10,000 miles from new. Kinda wish I hadn't just bought another one...£5950 is a giveaway.

http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/WWW/cars_search.asp?page=1&modelexact=1&make=TVR&model=ANY&min_pr=75&max_pr=6000&postcode=lu2+0ba&miles=1500&max_records=200&source=0&sort=3&search=SEARCH

If this link doesn't work just look on Autotrader.

True... maybe it's at a dealer who just doesn't know what it's really worth... or maybe it's a typo... 100,000 miles...?!?

Being a bit unfair here... but I'd be interested to know.

well i must say the photo does suggest its very tidy - even if photos can be a bit deceiving. It looks more like 10k than 100k and with 1 owner it would ring true.

I have often thought if someone p/exed an S at a numpty dealer you might get a bargain. An old S passes through and the book price isnt available so a few calls to other traders and they eventually find out what the S actually is and low and behold they undervalue it. never know. I would be up there like a shot if I were on the hunt for one.

Rang up about it at the weekend. Price is a miss print, and is actually up for £8,995. Being sold by a dealer who has owned/stored it for eight years. I believe it has recently been resprayed.

I've just taken a look, and the mileage now seems to say 70,000! Please choose one of the following options:

a) I can't read
b) You lot can't read
c) The ad's been changed

Oh did I put £5,995? I meant £8,995. What's that you say? 10,000? No, my finger must've slipped! It should be 70,000. Silly me! Still, while you're here...

I payed £3,600 for an S2 'H' plate 1990 11 months MOT V-E-R-Y untidy, but drives fine.(apart from the usual niggles) Speedo reads 33,395 but not working, and I suspect it hasn't been for a while! No history, always a risk, but it HPI'd all true - 6 former keepers, no claims, same reg, etc. Chassis has lost a lot of plastic coating, but under scrutiny appears solid, even the front outriggers! You pays ya money, you takes ya choice! (and chance!!)
Paul

Thought I'd better mention the niggles!!
