Very slightly off topic - but does anyone know where you can get hold of the perspex protective covers for the driving/fog lamps? These are more prone to stone chips than the headlamps as they are set so low - as I found out to my cost on my way to VW a couple of weeks back. I saw them fitted to a couple of cars but can't remember the name though. Anyone help?

Sorry went home early on Friday due to a severe weather warning. Lots of silding and wheel spin. Don't have net at home.

These (cardodisks) are available from www.tvrcc.com in the regalia section - under miscellaneous section (tax disk holders etc).

Hope this helps

I had some left over safety window film (kiddy-proof stuff) so I fashioned a couple of protective pieces out of that, using a cardboard template I'd made.

The main issue I had was that I should've left the two circles of film under something heavy for a while to flatten out (the film comes on a roll). Trying to get them to stay on when they just wanted to roll up was a bugger, and as a consequence I ended up with a few air bubbles and creases.

Still, the lights have remained intact, and I'd had one smashed lens previously, so I'm happy with the end result.
