As some will know the S will be going for a respray on April the 5th. The Question is what colour?

After speaking to a very helpful chap in the paint shop at TVR, he has told me that the Cooper Green has a very bad opacity level, therefore you have to put more coats on it to get a good shine. He said I can use a cross linkage system to spray it, but if I wanted a hardier coat I should change the colour.

But what to?

Opinions?

Actually BRG was one of my choices as it would still match my interior.

Forest Green Metallic - the colour of my first S1. A nice dark green (similar to BRG) that shined up very nicely.

deep violet ordinarily I think that the S's traditional looks suit a BRG, dark blue, dark red conservative colour, but always been a fan of purple (love the lighter paradise purple on cerbs) and remember seeing a V8S driven by a bloke with a beard in the "picture this" section of sprint. Was dark purple and looked

Is that 2 pack or cellulose?

So far there is Purple, green, blue, yellow. I think it's a toss up between a green, and a purple. Unfortunately the interior has green piping.

Chris, I will try and look out the picture from the old sprint for you and then scan it in to stick on PH. It truly looked gorgeous.

will try and sort it tonight although supposed to be out for dinner so may be a little late - thats if i still have the copy of sprint it was featured in.

Cheers Phil.

No Problem, as I'm off the net from about 6 ish. Purple would be good. As long as it's not one of those crazy chameleon type paints. They are really expensive. But the green piping is a slight worry.

Do you have any pictures of a car sprayed in it? I'd be really interested to see it. I'll hopefully be spraying in April.

If I can't really decide then I'll just be blowing over in Cooper Green.

Cureton Green was the metallic version of BRG...rather than the "flat" Brooklands.

Gets my vote...wonder why

Got to be Brooklands Green . No seriously not usre that any flip flop modern paints would work with the S IMHO>
Tend to agree with Pies Black is very nice on an S, I can only think of one V8S in it and thats Adrian D's sprinting machine.
