Thats one way of stopping us bidding above you...

Declare it to fellow PHers and we will feel guilty about increasing the bid.....

Stu - sorry never got back to you about a "final" beer. Will mail you mate. Shame you have moved but hope the new commute isnt putting as many miles on the V8S.

PS - I used to have smoked lights on my grey S3 and they looked the dogs danglies

"HIGHEST BIDDER STATUS.........??? These are 'Buy it now' only!!! Ther are two sets available at £19 just buy them you cannot bid!!

Just realised Stu, you are the guy normally bidding against me for the TVR or V8S bits on ebay, usually magazines featuring the V8S!!

I dont feel guilty.

Cheers

Touch typing is an advantage...

Useful to have a record of stuff IMHO... also saves repeating posts... just do the "look at my profile" line...

I am tring to acquire enough of the sales brochures to mount and frame showing all of the images - this has now been achieved, so one bidder less in the market place, probably.

I am still looking for an S2 brochure from 1989/90, which used to be above my desk when I originally had one on factory order. It never came to fruition as I couldn't get the finance sorted, so I lost my grand deposit, mind you I was only 24 at the time .

There is a whole story here, which one day I will write up and get to Derek to see if he wants to put it into Sprint.

Yeah, the commute is greatly improved I've dropped from a 2 hours and 75 miles each way a day, down to a far more sociable 25 mins and 15 miles e/way.

I've acquired some Chim brochures alongside the V8S - mail me your address and I'll stick a set in the post if you want.

Tom reckons he can easily source a new set of smoked lenses from ARE, so that sounds like the best bet.

I guess the eBay ones might be a bit cheaper, but to be honest, by the time I'd got them through and then had to get them over to Tom, plus not really knowing the condition of them, I think the new ones are probably the best option.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

[O/T] Are you, by any chance, planning on going to the Windsor/Maidenhead meeting on the 23rd.

Just received my new smoked/red rear lights. Puchased on e-bay yesterday and arrived already... that's service!

Can't fault them. One or two very minor surface scratches, but you need to look really close to see them. Not bad at all for £19 + P&P.

Will try to fit them this weekend and will certainly post before and after pics if I can.

Job done. Took about an 1.5 hours and was surprisingly easy (helped by previous postings explaining the process.. Podie).

Car looks much different now. Very pleased with the end result. Money and time well spent.

edited to say, tried to add photos but never works for me!
