If you happen to be using from Fotango to host your photos, then this should give you a better idea:
If you select the desired photo in Fotango, you'll see an option called View your link to this picture:
If you click on this, you'll then see a similar page, but this time with a URL shown above the picture:
If you right click on this URL and select Copy Shortcut from the menu, you can then paste the URL into your posting between some pic tags as described above by Mike (do a quote on this posting for an example of these tags):
