Am considering joining the TVRCC and wondered what everyone's views are!

I've heard the insurance isn't worth doing (I'm happy with mine and it's cheap-ish). So what else would I gain, especially since I get loads of advice and info from Pistonheads

The mag's very good and there a number of events worth attending. For the sake of £30 or so I'd recommend it.

Well there are the regional clubs/meets each month for one, if you come along to Mid-Essex this Sunday (expecting 100-ish TVRs) then you will see what it has to offer.

As already been said there is the mag (all useful info) and ok their website is not great...why most people are on here but there will be many events this year for all to attend.

Full value for £50-ish or whatever it is now, clearly thats only my view of the world

Alan.

I went to my first meet expecting a bunch of anoraks... how wrong I was.

Bunch of absolute lunatics, and made some great mates there. Friendly bunch and we always seem to have a laugh... even get involved with the Kent lot these days too.

Sprint is a good read... and the club is currently restructuring I think, so should only get better.

Do it and get to a meet you will find out if they suit you

But Sprint is worth it alone anyhow

Depends what you want out of it - are you a gregarious chap? I reckon that for £30 it's great value, excellent monthly mag’, loads of regional pub meets and other events so what have you got to loose? Try it for a year then decide.

I joined when I bought my S3c and turned up at an Xmas do as my first meeting (the Dorset one in a weird hotel near Chisel Beach for those who may remember!) I met a great group of friendly people and formed some lasting friendships as a result.

On the other hand you may just want to sit at home and polish it, but I doubt it! Rich...

I only joined this year too. I was already reading someone elses sprint anyway so didnt join for the mag.

My real reason was since Im getting a Tiv (probably with in the next 100 years) I wanted to attend the events.

What was really worth the joining fee is that they actually managed to give me my mums phone number as my member number!
